Ever Changing Times

It is almost a week since the UK came out in their thousands to pay their respects and honour the late Queen Elizabeth II. Whether you went to pay your respects in person or like me, watched online, whatever your thoughts on the monarchy, you just had to admire a life lived in service, dedication and duty.

With the passing of the late queen, times have changed. King Charles will soon have his official coronation where he will be crowned King. We are living in ever-changing times.

With recent events, I am reminded of a soon-coming King, who will have His coronation when He returns to earth for the second time as King of kings and Lord of lords: Jesus Christ. It was very evident and telling watching and listening to the commentary afterwards of the late Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral, just how important her Christian faith was to her. The same traits we collectively admired in the late queen - service, duty, dedication - can also be seen in Jesus. It was Jesus’ dedication to mankind that saw Him give His life as a sacrifice for all. However, it was not just duty, but a love for each one of us which is hard to comprehend and challenging to emulate.

Challenging to emulate, but not impossible.

In these ever-changing times, if we don’t have a relationship with Jesus yet, why not start seeking him? If you already have a relationship with Jesus, why not intentionally allow Him to be Lord of your life and not just Saviour. Putting Him as Lord over your life, means that you are putting Him in full and total control. Therefore, you will not need to worry when the challenges of life surround as they will. Cost of living increasing, difficulty paying your bills, finding food becomes fraught with financial problems, concern over wars and conflicts both domestic and abroad, marriages imploding, families fracturing, children challenging and the list goes on.

The solution for all your needs is Jesus. His love, mercy and grace is sufficient for you and your loved ones. Why don’t you try Him today?

Until next time.

Love & Blessings
